Today was an extraordinary day, not only was it the absolute best day of the school year, but it was also somewhat the most boring. We only had 2 periods today, 3rd and 6th, both were exam periods; however, I had AVID for 6th period, so I didn’t have an exam that period. 3rd period was science exam, my friends informed me that it was easy, but it wasn’t as easy as they had described. Science exam took up half the day since it was early release at 12:40. After 3rd period, I had A lunch, the lunches get worse and worse each day during the last week of school, I didn’t bother eating anything.

After lunch, I headed for 6th period, the most boring period all day, I thought the class was actually useful, but it was a trick, we stayed in there for nearly 3 hours straight, not doing much but watching a plain movie that probably gone out of date in the 1930s. Instead of watching the so called “movie”, most people were smart and played games on the computer, which actually still limited our options. At school, you can’t really play the games a middle school student is interested in, all the game sites are restricted and we’re forced to play “educational” games.

It was pretty tedious, I was anxious. The bell rang 2 times, to dismiss B lunch and C lunch, it was very tempting to just charge out the door. At 5 minutes left, we cleaned the room, stacked all the chairs, and picked up trash on the ground. The teacher gave us last-day treats (candy bars/snacks/chips). We were finally done with school, I learned from last year to never head out too quickly and always cover your ears or protect your head, you’ll either get trampled and require brain surgery or suffer from temporary deafness for about a week. It was pretty crazy, not as much as I expected (a good thing), I headed out the back exit and sprinted towards the bus, we had a new driver.

We were on the way home, everything was peaceful until someone saved some applesauce from lunch and decided to throw it. Somehow, the person that was hit (10 people around the person were also hit), ALSO had applesauce. He bombarded the person that started the whole mess and caused it to be about 2x worse. The place was a war zone; the whole back of the bus was trashed. I almost felt bad for the bus driver despite the fact that he wasn’t the nicest person I’ve met. I was one of the “survivors” (out of the lucky few that weren’t hit as bad), I was glad to make it home alive after something like the last day of school.
